If you haven’t embraced managed services yet, Microsoft may give you the push you need. At its partner conference today in Boston, the software giant vowed to introduce a hosted CRM software suite, dubbed Dynamics CRM Live, in North America within the next year.

Although Microsoft has repeatedly missed recent product deadlines, the company’s commitment to hosted apps comes at a critical time for solutions providers. Traditional small business software suites are often too complex or too expensive for customers to license. Microsoft’s Windows Small Business Software has enjoyed some success, but a hosted CRM suite could broaden the market and give Salesforce.com a run for its money.
