Economic slowdown. Recession. The VAR Guy covers his ears when he hears those words. It’s certainly not time to press the panic button. But the press is spending more and more time trying to predict if IT spending will take a dive in 2007.
The VAR Guy isn’t good at predicting the future. How else can you explain him rooting for the New York Jets all these years? But in the case of future IT spending, he did read the latest survey results from CIO magazine.
Keep the results in perspective. CIOs say corporate IT spending will grow less quickly than anticipated. But nonetheless, IT spending continues to grow.
