Competition fuels markets, but companies like Telantix could struggle to catch Cisco who has the market momentum.

Regus, think Kinkos, will offer a public Cisco-based Telepresence service (http://newsroom.cisco.com/dlls/2007/prod_031607b.html), SAP has also selected Cisco TP ( http://newsroom.cisco.com/dlls/2007/prod_042307c.html), Rogers Communications in Canada has selected Cisco TP (http://newsroom.cisco.com/dlls/global/canada/news/2007/pr_06-01.html) as has Wachovia (http://newsroom.cisco.com/dlls/2007/prod_060407.html) to name a few.

For Telantix specifically, at $400k per quarter in revenue, scaling and winning the channel could prove critical to long-term success, which has to strike a cord with the VARGuy.

alot has changed since this blog started. Vendors like Telanetix presented and demonstrated telepresence solutions with more features and flexibility than cisco at a quarter of the price.

Now telepresence is affordable. 2 rooms at 120k to 240k is affordable considering one international trip to India averages 50 hours and about 12K in direct travel costs.
On top of this, how much sooner will projects complete with enhance communication?

Outsourcing, BPO and other offshore development will not be without telepresence in the next 3 years.

Right now, if I am an Indian, Vietnamese, or any other devlopment company I am looking to deploy TP to keep my customers and increase my business.
