Cisco was founded in 1984. Your conspiracy theory doesn't work.

KISS is perfect for Networkers think about the linkage...

KISS cut it first album in 1974, ushering in a new era in Rock & Roll. They created a new experience for their fans and built one of the loyalist followings in Rock & Roll history...the KISSNATION. In 1996, 22 years after its first album, KISS put their make-up back on and launched into their second act, becoming the top grossing tour of 1996.

So how does this translate to Cisco?

Cisco was founded in 1985 and helped create a new era in high-tech. It too created a new experience for its customers and built a loyal following of enterprise bsuiness leaders. Fast forward 22-years (notice the timing similarities) to 2007 and Cisco is also entering into its second act as a company. And much like KISS going back to its roots to show a new generation of rockers a show like no other. Cisco has remained faithful to the IP network and is ready to show the network generation a communication and social networking experience like no other.

Here's hoping the VAR Guy brings his camera and can post some pictures on his blog of KISS in action... I want to Rock n Roll All Night.

PS -- Have no idea if Cisco knew anything about the timing when they selected KISS I just found it ironic.
