Hmmm. The VAR Guy just read that SAS Institute’s channel chief, Miles Mahoney, has left the company. Mahoney seemed pretty high on the business intelligence company during a chat this spring. Did something change? Has he truly left the company?
It’s nearly 2:00 a.m. eastern time on Aug. 2, so an official response from SAS will have to wait a few more hours. Kudos to those legacy folks over at CRN for building on their, um, news legacy and breaking this story.
One big pending question: The VAR Guy had expected SAS to hold a partner conference this August. We’ll see if/how the show goes on without Mahoney.
