VARs working with VARs to serve more customers. That’s a compelling concept. And everybody from OnForce to Ingram Micro has introduced market places to develop so-called partner ecosystems. Now Avnet Technology Solutions is joining the party, with a new managed ecosystem called OneTech Connect.

OneTech Connect strives to simplify the partner collaboration process, create offerings that are easy to sell, reduce costs, and increase the value Avnet partners provide to their SMB customers, according to Avnet. The ecosystem includes five complete service lines: OneTech Implementation Services, OneTech Consulting Services, OneTech Managed Services, OneTech Integration Services and OneTech Support Services. OneTech services will be offered at a fixed price, established in advance by Avnet in collaboration with participating partners.

Under OneTech Connect, Avnet recruits and qualifies individual partners to act as approved OneTech providers. This qualification and approval process ensures that only partner firms with the required offerings, skills, references and integrity represent both Avnet and its community of reseller partners, Avnet asserts.

Hmmm. Sounds like an alternative to Ingram Micro’s high-end VentureTech network (wherein 88 percent of members partner with one another) or the OnForce IT service network. For more info, check out http://www.ats.avnet.com/onetech.
