There’s nothing like a good cat fight — especially when it involves Microsoft and Oracle. The latest squabble involves former Oracle Senior VP Doug Kennedy, who apparently is leaping to the Microsoft Dynamics team. If true, the move could help Microsoft to accelerate its recent momentum in the CRM and ERP mid-market, The VAR Guy believes.
Kennedy’s new post, heading partner relations for the Dynamics team, will be announced Monday during a major Microsoft partner conference in Orlando, according to Tech Target.
Landing Kennedy is a big win for Microsoft. In recent weeks, the software giant has explained how Dynamics will play a key role in a major software as a service (SaaS) initiative. Also, Microsoft partners are busy inking alliances with each other — or buying each other — in an effort to deepen their Dynamics expertise.
Hats off to TechTarget for breaking the story.
