SPARC is not a factor in small and midsize business. Canonical’s decision not to support SPARC has zero impact on Sun’s SMB strategy. It’s an Intel/AMD world in that market.

Funny, just after Canonical announced that next Ubuntu (8.04) won’t be supported on SPARC. Previous version were certified by Sun (http://www.sun.com/servers/coolthreads/tnb/linux.jsp)

A year ago i would have never expected something like this. the ubuntu wave is building. i just hope canonical is ready to offer enterprise-class support.
