This is the worst excuse for advertising I have ever seen in the "technology" world. Once again, it underlines how out of touch Microsoft is with its user base. More importantly, they have alienated the "little guys" like me who have to implement and later support their short comings.

So far i still refuse to recommend or sell a single Vista system. My clients are all asking for an alternative! For them it would be a terrible mistake to make a move right now!

Microsoft has done themselves and their customer base a terrible disservice. I remember what happened to WordPerfect when Novell purchased the company! They were a Dominant Number One in Word Processing, commanding 85% to 90% Market Share at one time! Within less than two years they were only a sad and painful memory to their fans! Now I doubt they have more even 10% of the WordProcessing market!

Sorry Microsoft, you still don't have my vote for Vista. You have opened up the barn door to the competition. Only time will tell whether or not anyone takes advantage of their mistakes.

Actually, The VAR Guy does get the joke: Microsoft spent big bucks to create a lame spoof video. Isn't that kind of pathetic? Imagine hiring a production team that spends hours and hours writing a spoof song and creating a spoof video ...

The VAR Guy gets the joke. And it's on Microsoft: The "spoof" was a waste of time and money, and shows just how out of touch Microsoft has become with its own customer base -- with regard to Vista.

[...] UPDATE: It appears that a certain blogger who likes to refer to himself in the third person still hasn’t gotten the joke. [...]
