For the first time in recent history, The VAR Guy was left speechless today. The rare event occurred when our resident blogger read a big feature story over on CRN, in which the trade pub made the following watershed statement:

In part, it read…

“Clearly, something’s changed. The winds no longer blow so cold across the Texas prairie. Dell is winning over the channel.”

What? Did somebody spike CRN’s coffee? Has channel enemy number 1 — Dell Inc. — finally won over the highly skeptical editorial team over at CRN? Apparently, yes.

Kidding aside, CRN has worked overtime to cover Dell in the last year. Some stories had a negative slant, some were positive. But today’s piece marks a watershed event for Dell. And a watershed event for CRN.
