The VAR Guy wonders if Novell would ever transition eDirectory (Novell Directory Services) or GroupWise to an open source model. Release an Active Directory replacement absolutely free that works with Windows, Mac and Linux systems. Then sell support for it. 2. Sell a replacement for Exchange that will work with multiple e-mail clients besides Outlook and provide the same functionality. Price it below Exchange to make it appealing to businesses who need to save money. Just my take on the state of business IT/IS. I would rather see just two things.
