Task listing??? This is insane. I don't understand why you would want any of this. I like Gnome the way it is. Add some 3d functionality but leave the basic interface alone. I really didn't care for the lack of customization. The ability to make your system look and work the way you want it is one of the reasons that many love using GNU/Linux. This maybe a bad example but, I think a rework would be nice but I was thinking more of a rework in like we saw from XP to Vista. You keep the basics the same but just add a nicer slicker looking version of the same thing. That is concerning the appearance only not the way that Vista works or fails to work as the case may be.
