		<description>This is a good move by Pentaho but the challenge will be to stay focused and committed to developing/nurturing these partner relationships long term. High value VARs, System Integrators and ISVs are key to creating real demand and becoming true extensions of the direct sales team but it takes time to build the trust and relationships necessary to become a strategic component of the partner&#039;s go-to-market strategy. You are right that the &quot;open source channel is learning how to walk&quot; but more are beginning to realize that these high-value partners can expand awareness, extend sales reach, and ensure successful customer deployments with minimal cost.
