Is it ok to update this post with a comment that Fonality now offers a fully-hosted service called UNBOUND?

The blog mentions that there is a subtle shift towards cloud-based offerings built around Asterisk, and we are the only company currently offering a fully-hosted solution that can be upgraded to an on-site server (using our Hybrid technology) as the customer grows and hosted becomes too small for their needs (typically a limitation of the customer's bandwidth and not the product itself).

This blog has been recently linked on twitter - so I thought I would bring an update (as the blog is almost 9 months old) for anyone finding the post through twitter.

Plenty of additional Asterisk news unfolding this week. Digium continues to partner up, disclosing new efforts with Presence Technology and Asteria this week.

Stay tuned to The VAR Guy for more: He'll be publishing a podcast with Digium's channel team in the next few days, and unveiling The Open Source 50 report -- which will mention Digium and Fonality -- on January 14.

Sorry (um, not really...) for the shameless plugs from The VAR Guy.
