apple-ceo-steve-jobsApple CEO Steve Jobs recently had a liver transplant, according to The Wall Street Journal. Serious stuff. No room for humor on this topic. The Journal reports Jobs is expected to return to work at the end of June.

No doubt, Jobs and Apple’s board of directors will face intense media debate over the next few days.

The key question: Should Jobs and/or the board have disclosed the surgery ahead of time? After all, some media pundits say Jobs represents roughly one-third of Apple’s valuation.

Hmmm. Tough questions. Before we get into the debate, The VAR Guy will simply say he’s hoping for the best for Mr. Jobs.

I work in the healthcare industry and I understand the seriousness and the nature of liver transplants as a procedure. Clearly Mr. Jobs is fighting for his life and I wish him God Speed and a quick recovery.
