The VAR Guy’s son — call him a reseller’s apprentice — spent the day trying to purchase an Apple iPod Touch (er, the iTouch). But this seems to be turning into quite the endless road trip.
So far, excursions to Wal-Mart, Target and other major retailers for the Apple device proved fruitless. (Great pun, eh?) Most of the major Long Island retailers, it seems, are sold out on the 16GB model.
Of Long Island’s Best Buy locations, five of the six destinations were sold out. One has it… but The VAR Guy is too busy blogging about iTouch to actually go visit yet another Best Buy store today.
The VAR Guy does not believe in recession-proof companies. Everyone is suffering. But perhaps Apple is suffering a little less than the rest of us.
Oh, one side note: The VAR Guy’s family forgot to check in with another key retailer: The local Apple Store. Does our resident blogger need to give his family all the answers?
