Headset vendor GN Netcom is giving its reseller partners the opportunity to learn everything they ever needed to know about headsets with the introduction of its online “Jabra University,” an e-learning portal available through the company’s Jabra Partner Program for North America.
Wired or wireless? IP telephony duty or call-center duty? Wideband or standard sound? Who knew there were so many options in choosing the proper headset?
Confusion will reign no longer. In addition to providing information about the different types, uses and technologies of each headset, Jabra University includes new sales tools and training courses that are focused on generating increased market share for Jabra unified communication solutions. Solution providers completing the courses walk away with technical and sales certifications that enable them to properly equip their customers.
Jabra University also includes interactive videos of product tutorials, FAQs and industry white papers addressing headset ergonomics, acoustics and wireless security measures.
Plus, the site features a calculator that allows partners to determine their customer’s return on investment using such factors as gains in efficiency and cost savings.
Normally a lower-margin product such as headsets would be considered more as an afterthought by resellers as they look to hardware and software to bring in the revenue. But that could change: Sometimes the right accessories can be the icing on the cake for a big-dollar deal – and customers have long memories when things aren’t perfect. Knowing your product inside and out – regardless of whether we’re talking UC servers or UC headsets – will set you apart from your brethren and further cement your position as the trusted adviser. Tools such as the Jabra University are there to help you do that.
