Ballmer could have possibly been a good CEO at a company requiring less innovative thinking (perhaps, a consulting company). Nevertheless, he’s not the right “kat” for Microsoft right now:

Didn’t Microsoft also axe a whole range of products this year not to mention over 5000 jobs?

But I agree. So long as Gates is the chair then Ballmer can sit comfortably.
