Tech Data has enhanced their Advanced Infrastructure Solutions (AIS) Division, beefing up their data center solutions for VARs with four new solutions groups. Here are some quick specifics.
The enhancements of AIS are focused on the ’go-to-market strategy’ combined with four new ‘Solutions Groups’. Wrought out of the Cisco Solutions Group formed last year, AIS has built out and up on its data center support structure with the HP Solutions Group, IBM Solutions Group, Software Solutions Group and Storage Solutions Group.
AIS Solutions Groups include:
- Sales
- Technical
- Marketing
- Business development specialists
Data center experts hold certifications inside the AIS specialized technologies (think: Avnet’s “Paths”)
- Servers
- Storage
- Virtualization
- Management software
- High-end networking
Teams are available to assist resellers in deploying data center solutions and customizing them so that they’re tailored to meet customer needs. On top of that, the AIS solutions group also plans on providing a bit of marketing support so that resellers can analyze the value proposition to their customers, or simply enhance and better utilize existing infrastructures with an existing customer. AIS solutions group looks into power consumption and cloud strategies as well.
