LTech has launched a CloudManage service, which they describe as “a blended offering of technology and services designed to improve the health performance, and reliability of enterprise cloud computing programs.” In plain terms, LTech is offering to manage customers’ cloud infrastructure. Here’s how.

Essentially, LTech CloudManage is a solution designed to outsource the management of an existing cloud environment — such as Amazon Web Services or a VMware cloud environment. LTech will also back up cloud application data and provide disaster recovery services, according to the press release.

And if all else fails, they have dedicated support staff, from help desk all the way up to project managers and cloud engineers. The basic idea is that by taking the burden of keeping tabs on the private cloud off the shoulders of IT staff, enterprises will be more likely to consider SaaS solutions.

CloudManage is available immediately, at prices starting from $750 a month. From where I’m standing, this was an inevitable move: as the enterprise cloud noise becomes louder, managing that infrastructure could become big business. No doubt, plenty of companies plan to follow LTech’s lead. And remote management tool providers such as Level Platforms and CA’s Nimsoft have developed a range of cloud management tools and dashboards.
