Managed communication service provider MegaPath has tapped industry veteran Darren Chamberlain to head up their channel efforts. As MegaPath’s Director of Channel Sales, Chamberlain will be tasked with improving relationships with the provider’s resellers while also trying to boost sales. Here’s the scoop.
Chamberlain, before joining MegaPath, worked with master agents, VARs, and manufacturers at telecommunications companies like Cable & Wireless, Sprint, XO, Global Crossing, and Bandwidth.com, where he developed and brought to market strategies and programs, according to the press release.
“With more than eighteen years of telecommunications experience, and fifteen of those in channel management, Darren’s experience and relationships with key distributors will be a great asset to MegaPath as our channel business grows,” said Dan Foster, chief sales and marketing officer, MegaPath, in a prepared statement.
Last time we heard from MegaPath, they were announcing a major merger with Covad and promising acquisitions in the months ahead. While we haven’t seen any of that quite yet, we don’t see any reason why Chamberlain’s appointment would change MegaPath’s strategy in that regard.
