Ingram Micro claims to be the first distributor to support digital signage solutions across both Windows and Apple Mac environments. Ingram’s cross-platform solution involves a distribution agreement with Nanonation, which specializes in enterprise-class digital signage software. Here are the details…
According to Ingram Micro, Nanonation is one of the few IT vendors currently supporting cross-platform digital signage solutions. What’s more, Nanonation apparently leverages open standards. The spin on this whole thing is that Ingram is saying that this service now opens up sales opportunities for Apple Specialists. Ingram is hoping that the platform-agnostic signage program will attract even more channel partners and “resonate” with Apple Specialists.
The solution is available now, and offers software features like “Nanopoint Kiosk and Digital Signage Client Software” and “Commandpoint System Management and Reporting Software,” which is a web-based tools for remotely monitoring kiosk deployments.
Because of the new partnership, Ingram is looking to train and educate partners on digital signage and is holding a “Digital Signage Boot CAmp” in Boston, MA this July along with a summer webinar. Plus, Ingram is offering pre- and post-sales marking and tech help for all Nanonation solutions.
