Cisco Systems Global Channel Chief Keith Goodwin (pictured) set off some fireworks ahead of the July 4th weekend. In a blog post today, Goodwin announced Worldwide Partner Organization (WWPO) leadership changes that strive to “accelerate growth in FY11 and beyond.” Three well-known names now have new roles within Cisco. Here they are.
The updates include new roles for Cisco’s Edison Peres, Wendy Bahr and Dave O’Callaghan. As a result of the changes, Cisco is now “actively searching” for Bahr’s replacement as the leader of the US and Canada Partner Organization and O’Callaghan’s replacement as leader of Worldwide Distribution. 1. A Cisco spokesperson says the company will initially conduct an internal search to fill the US and Canada Partner Organization lead, and the Worldwide Distribution lead. Then, the searches could potentially involve external candidates.
2. One of Cisco’s strongest North American partners applauded the reorg, and pointed to Geoff Fancher as a possible successor to Bahr for the North American Channel Chief post. The partner says Fancher has “owned” the U.S. partner business for Bahr in recent years…
