Apple CEO Steve Jobs says all iPhone users will receive a free case to help alleviate reception issues with their popular smartphones, USA Today has reported. For users still unsatisfied with the fix, Jobs says they have until September 30 to return the phone for a full refund, the newspaper’s online edition added. The VAR Guy’s opinion about iPhone 4 remains unchanged. Here it is.

The iPhone 4 antenna bug isn’t the issue. Apple’s handling of the problem is the issue. Fact is, very few people are returning their iPhone 4′s. But Apple’s handling the antenna issue — including a sneaky press release issued hours before the 4th of July holiday weekend began — screams arrogance.

Consumer Reports’ decision not to recommend the iPhone 4 because of the antenna problem was the shot heard round the world. And Apple is finally offering a free fix. But for now, The VAR Guy isn’t buying. Or resident blogger is sitting tight until Windows Phone 7 devices arrive in late 2010. At that point, The VAR Guy will make a buying decision based on current product quality in the market.
