What inspired this latest move? Here’s some background.
Adding a local backup functionality that streamlines how our partners manage their total backup and recovery solution. The decision to make this feature a major engineering enterprise for our team was greatly informed by feedback from our channel partners. Though having another feature to sell is good for our business, it was not our primary motivation behind the development of this feature.
Our main goal is to help our partners sell more GBs of backup. Adding local backup to their repertoire will not only help our partners sell more backup to their end users, but utilizing the same software that they use to manage their online backup makes them more efficient at it as well.
We know that local backup is way for our partners to not only generate more profit, but also get their clients using more GBs overall. That’s why Intronis’ local backup is only $4.95 per computer/month. Our local only option is priced so that our partners can use local backup as a tool to generate more backup business in general while profiting from the additional value that they are providing to their customers.
Intronis is able to engage our channel partners in a useful dialogue that results in win-win situations such as this because we are in full control of our engineering and product roadmap. We built our software from the ground up, so we can continue to fine tune our product according to the specific needs of the channel.
