Direct sales hosted service provider The Message Center has rebranded itself as VAR Dynamics, and the renaming carries a new focus on selling SaaS exclusively through the IT channel. Here’s the story.
The hosted services provided by VAR Dynamics (VDI) include private-label versions of a who’s who of enterprise products: BlackBerry Enterprise Server; Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Dynamics CRM; SharePoint, and so on. They also offer hosted email archiving and secure messaging, according to their press release.
Interestingly, that same press release identifies a growing trend towards mobility, especially when it comes to accessing CRM through smartphones. So VAR Dynamics is offering mobile access to Microsoft Dynamics CRM by way of a strategic partnership TenDigits Software.
VDI says that they now have over 100 reseller partners in 12 countries — including companies like Jamcracker and CallTower – and that they’re going into the name change self-funded, 100% debt-free and profitable.
The really interesting takeaway from this is that a services provider heard that its IT channel base is inching its way, some faster than others, towards the recurring revenue that the cloud can provide — and moved to meet VAR demand.
“We didn’t find the channel, the channel found us,” said Tony Francisco, president and CEO of VAR Dynamics in a prepared statement.
