When it comes to storage solutions, sometimes the cloud isn’t enough and the data center needs to be in the field. That’s why storage company Dot Hill is joining forces with BEXSA to provide “ruggedized” storage to Canadian government agencies. Read on for the rough-and-tumble platter spinners …
Dot Hill and BEXSA Solutions are looking to target military operations with Dot Hill’s rugged RAID rack-mount and Assured UVS appliance. BEXSA calls itself a manufacturer’s representative for embedded systems companies in Canada, with a specialization in providing unique rugged solutions. Translation? BEXSA acts as a VAD of sorts for marketing Dot Hill’s field-ready storage hardware.
Dot Hill and BEXSA have a mutual interest in building out this partnership — BEXSA adds another product to its portfolio and Dot Hill gains deeper proliferation into the Canadian marketplace. Dot Hill can now energize momentum into the government and military vertical market, where high-value mission-critical solutions are needed and likely profitable. Currently, Dot Hill offers iSCSI and Fibre Channel solutions that meet a swath of military compliance certifications. You can check out Dot Hill’s military specs in the release, and BEXSA’s portfolio here.
