German remote access software specialist NCP engineering has signed an agreement with Synnex to distribute its full portfolio of VPN products to VARs and system integrators here in the United States. NCP is positioning the deal with Synnex as the first stage of a major American channel push. Here’s the scoop.
The full NCP software portfolio is comprised of the NCP Secure Enterprise Management System, NCP Secure Enterprise Server, NCP Secure Enterprise Client and the NCP Secure Entry Client, according to the press release. The company hype boosts them all as “100 percent interoperable with major network-layer security technologies, including VPN gateways and firewalls, and supports the broadest range of platforms, including Windows 7/Vista/XP, Windows Mobile/Phone, Android, Mac OS X, Mac iOS, BlackBerry, Symbian and Linux.”
NCP says the Synnex announcement is the capstone to a 12-month winning streak: The developer has grown revenue 27 percent on the back of growing its partner base to be 250 strong, and signed upwards of 1,000 new customers. And now NCP is preparing for a major market push into North America, which includes building its cachet with the help of Synnex. Of course, it’ll have to compete with the likes of F5 Networks and Astaro.
Nancy Lam-Calderon, NCP’s North American channel chief, had this to say on the company’s channel value proposition in a prepared statement:
“The patchwork reality of today’s remote access technology has created hardships for CIOs who want to innovate yet are restricted by brittle infrastructure links, and network managers who have to expand their staff to cope with maintenance, provisioning and patches. Interoperable, scalable solutions that can solve these problems create strong revenue streams for VARs and systems integrators. With NCP’s next-generation network access technology, this is now possible.”
The VAR Guy’s blog team will keep a close eye on NCP going forward, so stay tuned for more.
