The Tech Data partnership with the IAMCP offers IAMCP members a direct line to Tech Data’s dedicated Microsoft team and adds a little sweetness to the package, since Tech Data will waive its traditional new account fee if you’re an existing IAMCP member. This should be good news for smaller VARs that are attacking the SMB space, since it provides a continued (or transitional) support for those that haven’t met qualification requirements for direct Microsoft support.
Tech Data’s press release details IAMCP’s excitement for this distributor-centric support, saying it’s an incredibly helpful step in creating momentum for channel partners looking for continued success. What’s more, Tech Data plans to integrate IAMCP member needs into Tech Data technology solutions including its TDCloud Academy and the StreamOne License Selector. Plus, the boost of support from Tech Data falls in line with IAMCP’s P.A.C.E ethos of the “four main pillars: partner-to-partner networking, advocacy, community and education.”
