VMTurbo is aiming for a complete platform-agnostic approach with its latest moves,  asserting that with the addition of Hyper-V, VMTurbo can now manage mixed virtualization environments with ease. To be fair, VMTurbo currently only supports VMware ESX Server or vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V, but I reached out to VMTurbo for comment and was informed that more virtualization platform support is on the horizon. When that happens, it truly will be platform-agnostic. At any rate, supporting two big names in virtualization is key, and VMTurbo can now provide IT admins with the ability to see an entire cloud or virtualization environment at a glance in real time, helping manage work flow, workload and VM statuses.

As we’ve reported before, VMTurbo has a unique free offering dubbed VMTurbo Community Edition, which is free and unlimited to use as long as all you care about is monitoring virtualization infrastructure and detecting possible hiccups. Enterprise and Cloud editions of the VMTurbo operations manager run $5 per VM and $9 per VM per month, respectively. VARs and MSPs may want to give this a look-over for both a customer’s or their own data center. For free, you can’t exactly go wrong, plus it includes a 30-day trial of all the other fancy features to help you decide if you want to take the plunge.
