Recently, we’ve covered VMTurbo’s past announcements, including its efforts to foster heterogenous and platform-agnostic virtualization management with Hyper-V support. Now, Shipley is moving into the CEO slot as VMTurbo’s former CEO and founder Shmuel Kliger steps down. But that doesn’t mean Kliger is stepping away from the company he help create; rather, he will have a more focused role at VMTurbo, maintaining and creating new partnerships while ensuring VMTurbo’s product roadmap is on track.

VMTurbo said it has gained some considerable customer traction and was looking for a seasoned veteran to help take VMTurbo deeper into cloud and virtualization technologies. Shipley’s past experience with Citrix, in addition to holding high-level management roles in various other companies (including Reflectent Software, which was picked up by Citrix, and WebLine Communications, which was later bought by Cisco) should help keep up VMTurbo’s momentum and foster more growth.
