If you’re been itching for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 to hit the scene, it might be worth the wait. Red Hat is now taking open suggestions on the latest version of its business operating system. That’s right, all “subscribers — users and partners” can discuss what they want to see in the upgrade. Read on and find out how to be heard …
Pop on over to the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 Ideas discussion group, and get your comments on. Red Hat wants your input because it’s looking to expand RHEL’s use cases, in addition to ensuring the next version is better than any previous version released. Since RHEL is based on the longstanding foundation of open source, it was a natural fit for Red Hat to increase the breadth of discussion that directly impacts the product. Red Hat calls the new feedback process “formal,” due in part to a new web portal and a larger base providing feedback. Red Hat is also looking forward to more vendors, partners, VARs and ISVs alike to reach out to Red Hat and discuss what can be improved, in addition to improving the relationship Red Hat has with its customers.
Join up and sound off over at the Red Hat Network site. But don’t just keep your opinion to Red Hat — let us know in the comments what you want from the fedora-clad company.
