VMTurbo, famous for its free virtualization management offering, has expanded its footprint with four new partners. Here’s the rundown on how VMTurbo will be looking to turn new partners wins into expanding channel opportunities …

The four new members of the VMTurbo family are two solution providers, a systems integrator and a value-added reseller. Respectively, Oriel, Testwise, Concat and Holonomix are global partners (Australia, Israel, Germany and the United Kingdom) who will be taking VMTurbo solutions and deploying them into their own solutions, from cloud platforms to value-added data center upgrades.

VMTurbo is hopeful the once-tiny startup will continue to grow as more customers and partners become familiar with VMTurbo products and incorporate them into their solutions. The company is continuing to push its technology as a platform-agnostic solution, notably because it takes a ‘holistic’ approach to VM management rather than a simple per-machine monitoring based on a specific hypervisor.

It’s no surprise that as data center needs expand, users must round up those VMs and ensure they’re behaving properly. VM management is a must-have tool. At Symantec Partner Engage, attendees were told VMs will make up nearly 70 percent of all machines by 2015. In that respect, VMTurbo looks to be in the right place at the right time. Meanwhile, we’ll continue to keep tabs on VMTurbo as its offerings expand into the channel, and hopefully, as its channel community grows.
